2026 S'mores on the Square

Downtown Evanston and the City of Evanston Parks & Recreation Department are excited to cohost the third annual S'mores on the Square, a delightful and cozy community event around open fire pits at Fountain Square in downtown Evanston.

This free and festive gathering will take place on Saturday, March 7 from 5-7PM (rain date is March 14). Residents and visitors of all ages are invited to join in the fun, bringing their enthusiasm and a sweet tooth to the event.

While you're downtown, be sure to make plans for dinner and/or a drink with friends or family!

Downtown Evanston will provide attendees with free s’mores "kits" (1 kit per person) to create perfect golden-brown marshmallows over the fire pits provided by Evanston Parks & Recreation. Feel free to also bring your own s'mores fixings if you'd like to make extras!

If you're driving into Downtown Evanston, we recommend parking in the Sherman Plaza Self Park garage--it's only a block away from Fountain Square. More information about parking. Downtown Evanston is also easily accessible by bike, bus or train!

A special thanks to King Arts Girl Scout Troop 47420 for their help prepping the s'mores kits!

THANKS TO OUR 2026 SPONSORS!
