Get hygge with us throughout the month of February by taking a creative class, enjoying a warm meal, and exploring downtown Evanston cafes, bakeries and restaurants.

Pronounced "hyoo-gah," this Danish expression is an attitude towards life that emphasizes finding joy in everyday moments. Rather than drudge through the winter, hygge is about celebrating coziness, warmth and family, as well as practicing mindfulness.

Throughout February, local businesses will offer shopping and dining specials or host a range of workshops such as beading, journal-making, floral-arranging, painting, meditating and yoga, and much more to promote the idea of coziness, mindfulness and overall well-being.

More events are being added every day! Stay tuned for updates.

Friday, February 17, 5-6:30pm | Charcuterie Board Workshop at Trufit Wellness

The charcuterie board: Possibly one of modern civilization's greatest dinner party inventions. But how does one create a board that wows guests, balances ALL of the flavors, and doesn't break the bank? Don't worry. We've got you.

Chef Jacquelyn Lord, CEO of The Dinner Belle Chicago, will take guests through all of those talking points plus she will:
- Talk about what beverages -- alcoholic and non -- pair best with what's on the board
- How to style the board
- How to take one's newfound knowledge and translate into how to create any other kind of board: Brunch board, cheese board, vegan board, you name it

Then, guests will have the opportunity to work together to create (and then devour) a gorgeous board full of flavors and style. Join us after the class for a cocktail party!

The class is at Trufit Wellness located at 604 Davis St. If you can, come at 4:30pm to celebrate a ribbon cutting event!
