Get HYGGE with us throughout the month of February! Pronounced "hue-gah," this Danish expression is an attitude towards life that emphasizes finding joy in everyday moments. Rather than drudge through the winter, hygge is about celebrating coziness, warmth and family, as well as practicing mindfulness.

Downtown Evanston is hosting a series of hygge events throughout the month of February because let's face it, we all need to get out of our house! Local businesses will host a range of special in-store events - beading and wine, knitting lessons, candle-making, needle felting gnomes, pasta-making, calligraphy & cocktails, open mic jams, fika dates, and more - to promote the idea of coziness, mindfulness and overall well-being.
