Get fit with Downtown Evanston this summer! We are excited to announce a series of free fitness classes at the new Fountain Square plaza. The classes will take place on Fridays throughout the summer. Get Fit Fridays will showcase health and fitness businesses in downtown Evanston and provide free, fun, and healthy activities for all! 

Check out the classes below and reserve your spot. Please arrive 10 minutes before each class to sign an event waiver and get ready to get fit. If you cannot make it, please cancel via Eventbrite or email lbrown@downtownevanston.org.

Join Pure Barre for an outdoor Pure Barre class! During this 50-minute total body workout, you’ll be guided through a series of low-impact, high intensity movements that are designed to strengthen and tone your body. The class also concentrates on a mind-body connection that provides mental benefits and allows you to focus on yourself with no distractions.

The Generation POUND class is specifically designed for kids, but adults are welcome, too! Nutrisults owner and certified Pound instructor, Mishra Keller, will help you unleash your inner rockstar at a free POUND class at 4pm. Pound sticks provided but mats required.

August 23, 4-5pm | Title Boxing Evanston HITT Training Class

Get Fit Fridays at a free 45-minute HIIT class with Title Boxing Club Evanston. The HIIT workout utilizes the fundamentals of boxing and kickboxing. It's energizing, engaging, and empowering! The outdoor class differs from our indoor class only in the fact that we will not utilize a heavy bag. However, you will receive the genuineness of traditional mitt work, cardio engagement such as jump ropes, fundamental body weight resistance from squats and push ups to shadowboxing, and agility drills utilizing foot ladders and cones. It's a great way to get a full body workout while enjoying the great outdoors. The class will be led by Master Trainer Seng who has over 20 years of fight experience and fitness training.
