Join us this summer for Evanston Cars & Coffee, a new series of free community events where you can admire an incredible lineup of vintage cars (pre-2000), and enjoy a relaxing Sunday in Downtown Evanston with family and friends. Mark your calendar for these three Sundays from 9:30AM-12PM: July 19, August 16 and September 20. All cars will be showcased on Sherman Avenue between Church and Clark streets. 

At each event, registered cars will be voted on for a "Best in Show" award, and the owner of the car with the most votes will win a $100 Evanston E-Gift Card, courtesy of Downtown Evanston. Votes may be purchased during each event, and all proceeds will benefit the Evanston Public Libary. Coffee and iced-coffee will also be available for purchase from Outside Coffee while you take in the sights of vintage cars and enjoy the community spirit.

Do you own a vintage car (pre-2000) that you'd like to showcase at one or more of the Evanston for Cars & Coffee events? Space is limited, so pre-register as early as possible before each date to ensure that there will be a spot for your vehicle. Registration is free.

Check-In for Registered Cars
All registered cars will need to enter the event area from Clark Street. Please pull your vehicle forward to the registration tent, where you will be met by volunteers who will confirm your advance registration, provide you with a placard for your windshield, and direct you to a parking spot. Once your car has been parked, we ask that it remain in place for the duration of the event.

Etiquette for Guests

(1) Please do not touch or get into the cars without the car owner’s permission.

(2) Be careful not to brush up against cars when taking selfies.

(3) Please dismount and walk your bike, electric scooter, or motorized board.
(4) Keep strollers and pets 5 feet away from cars to avoid accidental damage to cars.
(5) If you take photos during the event to share on social media, please tag Downtown Evanston on Instagram and/or Facebook and use hashtags #downtownevanston and #evanstoncarsandcoffee so that we may share your photos.  

Parking for Guests
If you're driving into Downtown Evanston to enjoy the car show, we recommend parking in the Maple Avenue or Church Street Self Park garages--both are a couple blocks from the event location. The garage and metered street parking are both free on Sundays. More information about parking. Downtown Evanston is also easily accessible by bike, bus or train!
