Downtown Evanston is hosting a week-long Get Healthy Evanston initiative to recognize all the health and fitness businesses and provide free, fun, and healthy activities for all! Starting on Monday, June 27, businesses will offer free classes or workshops at an outdoor location in downtown or at their business. Please note that some of the events require registration due to limited spaces or will require a waiver prior to the class as indicated by the asterisks (**).


10:00 am - 1:00 pm: Kick Off Event | Fountain Square

5:00 - 6:30 pm: Exhale Evanston Lakefront Run & Express Class
Join Exhale on a 30-minute lakefront run followed by a 45-minute Express Class at their studio. Immediately after class, enjoy light bites from Firefly Kitchen and an exclusive sale! Space limited to 25. Registration required.

5:30 - 6:30 pm: Institute for Therapy for the Arts "Press Pause" | 1702 Sherman Ave. 
Join us after work to learn and experience how to use music to de-stress from your day and rejuvenate your body and mind. Free! Sign up at the kick-off event on Monday, June 27 or call 847-425-9708.


12:00 - 1:00 pm: Grateful Yoga "Gentle Yoga" | Fountain Square 
Heidi Spear, a Kripalu Yoga teacher, author and mindfulness coach, will teach a "Gentle Yoga" class. Take a break from your day to relax and stretch. Please bring a mat or towel. Special thanks to Freshii for providing free snacks after the class! Register here.

6:00 - 7:00 pm: Chiropractic First "Meditation or Movement? Finding the Right Stress Relief from You" | Chiropractic First, 1609 Chicago Ave. 
Dr. Meggie Smith provides light touch chiropractic which improves emotional and mental lives, as well addressing pain and injury. This one hour workshop will provide an overview of practices to help relieve stress and help you determine which is the right option for you. Register here.

5:30 - 7:00 pm: Institute for Therapy for the Arts "Improv for Improved Living" | 1702 Sherman Ave. 
Attend a free demonstration to learn about applying lessons of improv in your daily life to decrease stress and improv overall mental health. Sign up at the kick-off event on Monday, June 27 or call 847-425-9708.

Get in a lunch time workout and grab a free bite from LYFE Kitchen. Please bring a mat or towel if possible. Register here.

5:30 - 7:30 pm: Evanston Athletic Club (EAC) Fun Run | Meet at EAC, 1723 Benson Ave. 
Enjoy a lakefront run led by EAC staff member followed by a complimentary beer at Bangers & Lace. Run starts and ends at EAC so that you can change/shower. Register here or RSVP to 


8:00 - 9:00 am: 3rd Coast Craniosacral "Meditation Class" | Fountain Square
Get your morning off to a good start with a few rounds of simple meditation techniques.

12:00 - 1:30 pm: Divvy Bike Ride led by Wheel & Sprocket | Meet at Fountain Square **
