The restaurant started out as a "Little Mexican Cafe", at the location 1571 Sherman Ave, in Evanston. As the business slowly grew, they had to find a larger location. That is how they ended up here at 1010 Church St. in Evanston.
The owner/chef is Porfirio, and he and his family would like to welcome you to their cafe. Every morning he goes to the market to find the freshest meats and vegetables possible. In the summer he will go to the farmers markets, as there are many to choose from in the Chicago area. He is from the town of San Gabriel in Central Mexico. He learned most of his cooking from his mother. He tries to replicate her recipes as he remembers them growing up and hope you will enjoy!
