Get fit with Downtown Evanston this summer! We are excited to announce a series of free fitness classes at the new Fountain Square plaza. The classes will take place on Fridays starting June 14 through August 23. Get Fit Fridays will showcase health and fitness businesses in downtown Evanston and provide free, fun, and healthy activities for all! 

Please note that class sign ups are coming soon! You must reserve a spot at each class and that some of the events require additional information and/or a waiver prior to the class.

June 14, 8am - 9am | SPENGA REP/REVIVE CLASS

Join SPENGA for a 40-minute workout--20 minutes of circuit-style strength training and 20 minutes of revitalizing yoga! The first 20 minutes focus on building strength, lean muscle and high calorie burn during which your heart rate remains elevated and you’re pushing your muscles toward exhaustion. The workout finishes with 20-minutes of yoga, a combination of static, flowing and repetitive movements builds strength and increases body awareness to improve alignment, posture and joint stability.

CycleBar Evanston is taking over Fountain Square with 10 CycleBar bikes to offer six 30-minute intro classes, 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon! Reserve your spot in one of the 30-minute classes to get a taste of this premier cycling experience!

Release the stress and tension of your work week with 45 minutes of yoga led by Grateful Yoga instructor CJ Riley. Come experience Grateful Yoga's mindful approach to practice that welcomes all ages and abilities.

Please note that we have mats but please bring your own if available and arrive 10 minutes prior to the class so that you can sign an event waiver. Event is free but please RSVP using link below.

Join Pure Barre for an outdoor Pure Barre class! During this 50-minute total body workout, you’ll be guided through a series of low-impact, high intensity movements that are designed to strengthen and tone your body. The class also concentrates on a mind-body connection that provides mental benefits and allows you to focus on yourself with no distractions.

The Generation POUND class is specifically designed for kids, but adults are welcome, too! Nutrisults owner and certified Pound instructor, Mishra Keller, will help you unleash your inner rockstar at a free POUND class at 4pm. Pound sticks provided but mats required.
